What is one thing millions of people wish they could be? A billionaire. For Kylie Jenner, that common wish just became her reality.

Jenner has now become the youngest person to graze the Forbes billionaire list, surpassing Mark Zuckerberg who previously held the crown. On Tuesday, March 5, the 21-year-old was officially announced as the youngest billionaire in Forbes history.

While becoming the youngest billionaire in the world, she has also surpassed all her sisters in becoming the biggest bread winner of the family. She beat her older sister, Kim Kardashian West, who appeared on Forbes in 2018 for being the 30th highest paid celebrity in the world.

Let's breakdown how exactly Jenner became the youngest billionaire in history. According to Forbes, her cosmetics line grossed a combined total of $630 million in the last two years. Being able to own 100 percent of your own business is impressive, especially because she was able to start up her cosmetics company from scratch.

According to Vox, at the age of just 17 years old, her and her sister Kendall Jenner began to model for their clothing line, which allowed her to save enough money to start up her company in 2015. The startup cost was $250,000.

Four years later, Jenner is a self-made billionaire, a mother of a baby girl and the current partner of Jacques Bermon Webster II, better known as Travis Scott. Travis Scott is no stranger to the Forbes list, as he’s featured on the 30 under 30 list, coming in at number 26.

For someone who started her stardom off in reality television at 10 years old, Kylie has come a long way. The Kardashian-Jenner family is known throughout the world, and through the use of their fame, Jenner has profited.

By marketing through social media and other platforms, Jenner has been able to promote her products so well that any new Kylie Cosmetics line often sells out in a matter of minutes. Jenner largly benefits from her social media, as she has a combined 155.7 million people following her Twitter and Instagram. Through both these platforms, she’s been able to elevate the sales of her products.

In an interview with Forbes, Jenner spoke on how her social media has benefited her company tremendously.

“It’s the power of social media, I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything,” Jenner said. “We live in a new era where you don’t really need a marketing team when your marketing team can easily be your thumbs and a cellphone.”

Jenner gained a mega deal in Ulta due to her tremendous achievement of having a million dollar company based largely off her social media.

Kylie Cosmetics sold $54.5 million worth of products in Ulta in a short period of time and the number continues to grow. She is also receiving notoriety for becoming the youngest billionaire ever, so her company is going to keep growing and adding more revenue.

During her interview with Forbes she said, “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future ... But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”

Being humble and self-driven are two great qualities for a young entrepreneur like Jenner to have. Whether you like her or not, you have to respect the way Jenner goes about her business.

But not everyone believes that Jenner is a billionaire. According to Yahoo Finance, CelebrityNetWorth's CEO Brian Warner stated, “Forbes calculated Kylie's $900 million net worth by assuming Kylie Cosmetics was worth $800 million and that Kylie has a seperate net worth of $100 million. They provided little to no verification to these shoddy numbers.”

Jenner and her family are strong minded and well-rounded and the results are displayed on the Forbes list with Kim Kardashian West, Kylie and Kris Jenner all touching high numbers on the 100 highest paid celebrities in the world.

Kylie has all the makings to become one of the richest people in the world. Through her social media presence and the already renowned fame of her family, who knows just how far Kylie will be able to take her business.
