As election season is about to approach, it is important to know the “when,” “where,” “why” and “how” of voting. Many people don’t vote in any given election because they are unaware of what exactly they need to do.Below is a breif run-down of some of the facts any student needs to know in order ot vote in the Brockport Student Government election.

Firstly, voting this year takes place from April 2 at midnight through April 3 at midnight. Voters will have 24 hours to cast their ballot in.

Secondly, voting takes place online, through the myBrockport website. Information boxes will be avaliable for each candidate, so voters who didn’t do enough research during the campaign period can learn about their options.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, any student is eleigable to vote in the election. Be it undergraduate, graduate, transfer, off-campus or on-campus, as long as a student has a myBrockport account, they have a vote.

Debates have not been scheduled yet, but check back with The Stylus in the coming weeks for coverage of the election.
