An Advantage Federal Credit Union ATM has been placed in the Seymour College Union to replace the previous Chase ATM. The long-term Chase ATM was removed prior to the start of the Fall 2017 semester.

Chase Bank is no longer a part of an agreement with Brockport Auxiliary Service Corporation after a contract between the two organizations came to an end in August.

According to BASC Marketing Manager Kelly Bodine, Chase chose not to renew the contract and BASC worked quickly to find a replacement service. Advantage Federal Credit Union was chosen and a replacement ATM has since been installed in the Union. An additional machine will be installed in the SERC on a later date.

The M&T Bank ATM located in Harrison Dining Hall will remain in service, as the bank was not affected by the decision.

According to Bodine, on a date not yet announced, Advantage Credit Union will table in the Seymour College Union to be available to students who have questions about using its services.

For students concerned about being unable to access their bank accounts, Bodine assures there is a Chase Bank location located on Main Street.

Students with accounts outside of Advantage Federal Credit Union will be required to pay a small undetermined fee when utilizing the new ATM.

“As with any ATM, anyone who doesn’t bank with Advantage Federal Credit Union or M&T will be charged a small fee for using their services,” Bodine wrote.

According to advantage-network.com, “Due to the dynamic nature of ATM locations and supporting fees, The Advantage Network is not responsible for any changes in information since the last update and apologizes for any inconvenience that may occur.”

What with the new addition, it can be assumed that a greater number of students will have access to banking convenience throughout the Village and on campus.
