Sonore is a brand new singing club that plans on taking The College at Brockport community by storm, similar to Brockapella, another a'cappella group on campus. The name "Sonore" is a french word meaning rich and vibrant sounds. Co-creator and club President Leisha Scott said her goal was to "create an all inclusive environment for people that have a passion for music."

Sonore was created by Scott, with Deja Baxter as vice president and Wankumbhu "Wan" Chabala as treasurer. The club is vocally oriented but it welcomes other talents as well. Sonore also offers lessons for those who feel that they need help developing their vocals. Ultimately, these three students want to create an environment for people to be able to sing and vibe with others with like-minded passions. According to Scott, Sonore accepts everyone into the club while other clubs may hold auditions; anyone can join.

"We hope to participate in many events and we will be throwing some concerts and many other pop up events," Scott wrote in an email. "So come through, you won't be disappointed."
