From Thursday, April 13, until April 15, the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity will be hosting a Sit-a-Thon in order to raise money for the Ability Experience. The Ability Experience is a non-profit that was created in part with the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and focuses on raising awareness for people with disabilities. The Sit-a-Thon will take place outside Hazen Hall and Dailey Hall next to the red statue in North Campus.

"I feel that the Ability Experience and the Sit-a-Thon helps raise lots of awareness for disabled children," Michael Mantisi, a member of the fraternity, wrote in an email.

The Sit-a-thon will see the fraternity brothers camping outside for three straight and participating in various events. On Thursday, April 14, the brothers will be hosting "Pie a Pi Kapp" from 12 to 2 p.m. During this event, donators will the opportunity to throw a pie in the face of one of the fraternity brothers. The brothers plan on hosting Dunk a Pi Kapp the following day which will allow donors to drop a member of the fraternity into a dunk tank. If the brothers are not able to acquire a dunk tank before Friday, they will host "Paint a Pi Kapp" as an alternative.

"I hope most of all that those who participate in our event either by just stopping to talk to us, or by donating any spare change, they understand how passionate the Fraternity of Pi Kappa Phi to helping the community through service for others," Mantisi wrote. "We stand up to help those in need by leading by example, hopefully we can challenge others to rise to the occasion as well."
