BSG Roundup: Spring fest is on its way

 The Brockport Student Government Senate meeting took place on Friday, April 7, in the Seymour College Union Gallery. The meeting began at approximately 4 p.m. with recognition of two new clubs by BSG. 

The future Chief of Staff Brynn Stopczynski was also introduced and allowed to give a few words on behalf of her future goals for BSG as an organization as well as how she intends to implement efforts to further enhance the organization's success. 

Following the recognition of the chief of staff came an announcement by current BSG President Devin Bonner who stated the location for the college's upcoming Eagle's Day has been finalized and the festivities will take place in Lot T. There are also accompanying events all week long, such as Kesha's Korner, Plates and Shakes, Glitterpalooza, a showing of "La La Land" and the Kesha concert.

Bonner also explained, she along with Vice President Danielle Fenley, will be attending the State University of New York Student Assembly on behalf of The College at Brockport where they voted on a resolution pertaining to the Black Lives Matter movement as well as legislation pertaining to standardizing the term "veteran." The budget for next year's clubs and organization was also established at the meeting. 

The meeting came to a close at approximately 4:30 p.m. after reports from each senator and a list of upcoming events such as the Brockport Muslim Student Association's fashion show We Are One and the Association for Latino American Students' event La Gala.
