We're a 100-year-old newspaper; we've made it through changing newspaper designs, social media and now we're coping with the 24-hour news cycle. That's where our new website brockportstylus.org comes in.

To keep our published news fresh and update the Village of Brockport residents as well as  students at The College at Brockport, we will be publishing online-only content throughout the week. These articles and photo galleries will include events around campus that happen far off from our publishing date, so we capture more events around campus and update you on breaking news you need to know. From off-campus robberies, to on-campus controversies, The Stylus hopes to be your No. 1 source for information about the campus — expected to be fair, accurate and unbiased. You can expect to visit our website any day of the week and find content you can't find in our paper that keeps you updated on what's going on around campus.

We don't spend 17 hours every Monday in a basement for fun. We want to bring the news to our community and if that means working constantly throughout the week by updating our Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter feed alongside our online stories, we'll do it.

We want to be prepared for the changing world of media around us and the evolving newsroom graduatesheading into the field of journalism will have to deal with.

Our site features links to our social media, with our Twitter feed on the left side and a "photo of the week" and a photo gallery lining the bottom of our page.

This new website allows us to collaborate with Talon Television and Production more often, allowing for better functionality and user-friendly navigation of the technology we'll be using.

Thank you for reading our paper each week. Support from the community is what helps keep us going.

We encourage your feedback as well; we have a separate page with a contact form used for easy communication between The Stylus staff and our online news consumers.

Our staff has your back. You can count on us.
