  • Track and field sends seven athletes to nationals

    After an historic season on both sides, The College at Brockport men's and women's indoor track and field teams traveled to nearby Nazareth College for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference championship. The two-day event was a tough battle, but the Golden Eagles were able to send multiple athletes off to nationals in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

  • Students showcase music talent in small ensemble concert

    When watching your favorite shows and movies, the catchy theme song to start the program would always somehow grab your attention, while getting stuck in your head at the same time. The College at Brockport xylophone and brass ensembles hosted a small concert, Wednesday, March 4, centered around a TV and movie theme. Many different instruments were on display as the talented young musicians took the audience for a trip down memory lane.

  • Forum held in wake of diversity crisis

    In response to diversity, discrimination and in honor of Black History Month, Men of Color (MOC) hosted The College at Brockport's first ever WOKE Forum. The forum was held in the Seymour Union on Sunday, March 1.

    Within the student body that makes upĀ  The College at Brockport, there is a good amount of talent when it comes to creating art and music. One of those talented young minds goes by the name of Chris Raxx.

  • Celebrating African American culture through various arts

    On Saturday, Feb. 29, the Organization for Students of African Descent (OSAD) hosted its annual All Black Everything event, showcasing different African culture and art. Paintings, poems, songs and dance performances were on display for all who attended to enjoy.

  • Taste of Brockport exposes new found food options

    An abundance of The College at Brockport students gathered early on Saturday, Feb. 29, creating a line more than a half hour before The Brockport Student Government's (BSG) annual event, Taste of Brockport.

  • Rapper Pop Smoke dies in fatal home invasion

    In the last few years, the world of hiphop has lost a handful of up-and-coming stars to drugs and deadly shootings. The most recent fatality comes in the form of a deadly shooting; 20-year-old rap newcomer and Brooklyn native Pop Smoke was shot in an alleged home robbery, which was later thought to be a targeted killing.

  • BSG expands Snow Day offering more action

    The College at Brockport held its annual Snow Day event in the Seymour Student Union on Saturday, Feb. 22. The winter wonderland brought to life inside the union was hosted by the Brockport Student Government (BSG) and was able to attract a large crowd.

  • Dumbledore's Army starts paint and sip tradition

    When it comes to all the different events held at The College at Brockport, many of them seem to be geared toward a certain audience or group but at the same time inviting to nearly anyone who would like to attend. The Harry Potter Paint and Sip that took place in the Union Gallery on Thursday, Feb. 20, was a special event for the Harry Potter fans to come together in one place to bond over the series while enjoying some Butter Beer and leisure painting with friends.

  • Track and field remains dominant ahead of championship meets

    The College at Brockport men's and women's indoor track squads traveled to nearby Nazareth College this past weekend for the Nazareth Tune-Up Invitational. This meet was the last chance for the athletes to improve their times before the SUNYAC championships on Friday, Feb. 28.
